How We Help the Community
Building Hope Foundation projects range from Toys for Tots Annual Toy Drives, assisting kids in crisis, supplying meals, and more. Learn more about our programs and see how and who we help.
Toys for Tots Annual Toy Drive
The Building Hope Foundation Inc. in collaboration with the Marine Veterans of Fairfield County and Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, delivers a large truckload of toys to Blessed Sacrament Church (Bridgeport, Connecticut) for distribution to the children in the Bridgeport community. Children from more than 200 families receive the toys.
Building Hope Foundation is proud to be a part of bringing joy to children and families.

Assisting Kids in Crisis
The Building Hope Foundation Inc. project for Kids in Crisis: a bluestone walkway and ramp to provide safer access and entrance. Much appreciation for the contributions from vendors Devine Brothers Inc, and Reyes Masonry.
The Building Hope Foundation now functions in a volunteer consulting capacity for Kids in Crisis.

Supplying Meals
Each month the The Building Hope Foundation Inc. supplies pizza meals to over 300 people: The first Thursday of each month to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, both to the main facility and the women’s shelter. Also on the third Sunday of each month at the John St. bridge underpass the Helping Hands Outreach group distributes to homeless who line up there. The third Friday of each month we deliver to the Disability Resource Network, at both their Bridgeport and Derby locations, as a treat to their clients. The DRN works with children and adults with disabilities and helps them to achieve independent living.

Music Therapy Programs
The Building Hope Foundation provides Music Therapy Programs that offer those with disabilities the opportunity to grow by learning through the science of music therapy how be better listeners, communicators and calmer people. Watch the News 12 Connecticut video HERE.
Scholarships Awarded
2021: All best to Building Hope Foundation’s Scholarship Recipients Ryan and Paige!
2016: The Building Hope Foundation awarded it's first annual Building Hope Scholarships to Francesca Rallo of Hamden, CT and Robin Rockwell of Newtown, CT.
2018: The The Building Hope Foundation Inc. is proud to announce the 2018 Scholarship Award Recipients: Liana DeLaRosa and Jasmine Tenesaca. Jasmine is an EMT worker and Liana's family works in the building field. We wish them all the best! Congratulations! Pictured L to R: BHF's Mary Boudreau, Liana with parents Mrs.Henry DeLaRosa.
